Director of Services

Summary
This position will report to the Board of Directors of the Mendleton Foundation and will be primarily responsible for increasing the services offered to service members past and present. This includes enthusiastically and diligently working with timelines and committees, the Board, and community partners.

Part-Time Volunteer (FlexTime)
Flex time allows this volunteer to select the hours he or she will work to best support the position. This volunteer should be available for events that will periodically fall in the evenings and on some weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities
(not exclusive)
Continually establishing mutually beneficial relationships with members, community partners, and other volunteers. Consistently increasing the services offered by the Foundation to bring the most amount of benefit to the members. Create, organize, and adhere to tight event timelines and have an ability to orchestrate and positively work with a variety of vendors, families, and community members. Must be detail oriented and like to take charge of event logistics. Constantly engaging the comunity in long term relationships thus establishing loyalty for the services that are offered by the Foundation. Manages communication and all correspondence between volunteers, community leaders, and out Board for projects and community partner events. Easily takes on a leadership role at all events. Examples of events could include legal aid clinics, Veterans Affairs clinics, personal finance clinics, etc.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations will be made. Must have valid driver’s license and a satisfactory criminal record check.
Compensation
This position is a volunteer position and is not compensated. In the future, this position may be converted to a compensated position.

Director of Outreach

Summary
This position will report to the Board of Directors of the Mendleton Foundation and will primarily be responsible for increasing awareness through managing outreach events and sponsorships. This includes enthusiastically and diligently working with timelines and committees, the Board, and community partners.
Part-Time Volunteer (Flextime)
Flextime allows this volunteer to select the hours he or she will owrk to best support the positon. This volunteer should be available for events that will periodically fall in the evenings and on some weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities (not exclusive)
Continually establishing mutually beneficial relationships with donors, community partners, and other volunteers. Consistently increasing awareness in our community about who the Mendleton Foundation is and what we do for our community. regularly represents the Mendleton Foundation at speaking engagements and festivals in a professional, positive, and energetic manner for community partners, small local groups, and networking events. Create, organize, and adhere to tight event timelines and have an ability to orchestrate and positively work with a variety of vendors, families, and community members. Must be detail oriented and like to take charge of event logistics. Constantly engaging the community in long term relationships thus establishing loyalty for fundraising events, volunteer events, and special events or projects. Manages community and all correspondence between volunteers, community leaders, and our Board for projects and community partner events. Easily takes on a leadership role at all events.
